Journey to the West: Working 9 to 5 in the Underworld

This is the underworld of Journey to the West, but something seems a little different.

King Yama: What do you mean, a little different? I get beaten up every day! Have you ever seen another King Yama who gets beaten up every day?

The Nine Kings of Yama: When Lord Yandeng is on the clock, he's the boss. When he clocks out, that's when we're in charge.

Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva: Good thing Yandeng clocked out. Otherwise, he would've wiped me out from the start.

Black and White Impermanence: During work hours, treat falling into hell as the greatest honor of your life!

Judge: If hell isn't violent, what, are we supposed to feed you candy?

Ghost Guards: If our interrogation methods are too gentle and don't feel vicious enough, we'll be too ashamed to face Lord Yandeng.

Yandeng: Excellent. Those are my ghost guards, all right. You've learned your lessons well. From now on, I'm on duty from nine in the morning until five in the evening. Come to me if you need anything. Outside those hours, if you want to die, you can come to me too!

Ladies from all walks of life: Lord Yandeng, now that you're off work, want to grab a drink?
