The Buddhist Emperor of Journey to the West

After transmigrating into the world of Journey to the West as Tang Sanzang, he decides not to make the pilgrimage.

"Please, go on the pilgrimage!" Li Jing begs him.

"No!"

"Go on the pilgrimage! If you do, I'll give you a Purple-Patterned Flat Peach. You'll become a Heavenly Immortal on the spot!"

"I'll think about it!"

"Go on the pilgrimage, and I'll give you the Three Lights Divine Water from my Pure Vase. It will keep your immortal body from declining," Guanyin says.

"I'll think about it!"

"Go fetch the scriptures, and I, your master, will grant you the Great Sun Tathagata Heart Sutra!" says the Tathagata.

"Let me think about it! ..."

One day, when he finally sets out on the pilgrimage, he discovers that he has already become a Golden Immortal.

This is the story of the mightiest Tang Sanzang.
