Journey to the West: Please, Spare Tathagata!

Jiang Liu transmigrated into the world of Journey to the West and became Tang Sanzang.

He thought it was an ordinary transmigration, and that he absolutely wouldn't be making the Journey to the West.

But to his surprise, the System turned out to be a bit unruly.

"Congratulations, Host. You have bound the Tathagata and successfully suppressed his cultivation!"

"Please take the Tathagata with you on the Journey to the West. Let him experience the hardships of the pilgrimage and learn how treacherous people's hearts can be!"

From then on, the journey west was never dull again.

Jiang Liu: "Amitabha. Buddha, would you like some roast duck?"

Sun Wukong: "Hey, old Tathagata, get over here and lead Master's horse!"

Zhu Bajie: "Buddha, heh heh, sorry to bother you, but could you call Cui Lan over for Old Pig?"

Sha Wujing: "Master, something terrible has happened! The demons have captured Buddha again!"

And so, the Tathagata suffered every hardship imaginable on the journey west.

Until one day, the gods and Buddhas in heaven could finally take no more.

"We beg you, Xuanzang, please..."
