Great Tang: I’m Just a Chemistry Teacher

Synopsis:

Chemistry teacher Mu Li transmigrates to a remote mountain region in the Tang Dynasty. The lousy System gives him only a high school chemistry textbook before running out of energy.

Deep in the mountains, he makes matches and soap, and improves Eucommia rubber.

One day, four people arrive in the mountains. They claim to be the Tang emperor Li Shimin, Li Tai, Zhangsun Wuji, and Cheng Yaojin.

They bring plenty of color to Mu Li's life.

"Old Li, how can you be so clumsy? I told you not to make the fire so hot. You've ruined this whole batch of soap!"

"Hey, Chubby, don't touch that water. It's sulfuric acid!"

"Zhangsun, Old Cheng, you're so stupid you can forget about getting your hands on my rubber."

The four Tang Dynasty visitors get scolded by Mu Li, but instead of getting angry, they flatter him even more.

Li Tai kneels before Mu Li.

"Immortal Mu, take me as your disciple! Only with your help can I win back Father's favor and compete for the position of Crown Prince!"

Mu Li pinches Li Tai's chubby cheek.
