I Am Dust in This World

The Cloudflow Continent is divided into four regions:

Dongsheng Province is rich in resources, with rivers running through it and merchants in abundance. It is known as "the richest land under heaven."

Beicang Province is the land of strategists and warriors, and many Feilu are found there. Its territory is vast, and its people and horses are strong. The "Black Tide Line," the heavy black-armored cavalry of the Great Feng Dynasty of Beicang, is second to none in the world.

Xiyu Province is home to Buddhist and Daoist holy sites and celestial grottos. Its mountains crisscross the land, its population is sparse, and its air is clear. The ways of the world have yet to fully take shape, making it an ideal place to spread teachings and establish schools.

Nanzhang Province was where the Confucians first established a school and took on students, educating the people of the region. Later, the Confucians believed that human order should be determined by people themselves, so the sages joined forces to scatter the rules of the province throughout its lands and rivers. From then on, it was no longer subject to the calamity of mountain gods and immortals dictating the fate of its rivers and mountains. But the Confucian sages believed that the beauty of the human world lay in the flourishing of many schools of thought, so they did not forbid other teachings from spreading there. As a result, the province has many sects and a multitude of dynasties.

Our story begins in Nanzhang Province.
