Half an Immortal Elixir from the Start

In the first year of Yuanshou under Emperor Wu of Han, Liu An, King of Huainan, secretly refined an elixir of immortality. Someone exposed him, prompting Emperor Wu to send an army to surround the city. In full view of the public, Liu An and eight of his retainers who had helped refine the elixir ascended to heaven. Even the chickens and dogs in the Prince of Huainan's household ascended after pecking at the elixir. People said, "When one person attains the Dao, even his chickens and dogs ascend to heaven."

But what the world didn't know was that the elixir left behind by Liu An had only been half eaten by the chickens and dogs. The Prince of Huainan's heir, Liu Qian, secretly hid the other half.

More than two hundred years later, Liu Ba transmigrated and became a descendant of the Prince of Huainan. He obtained the half-elixir, and from then on soared to greatness, crushing the Yellow Turbans, pacifying Xiliang, campaigning against the Wuhuan, and wiping out the Xiongnu...

When Lü Bu saw him, he fled in terror at the mere mention of his name.

When Cao Cao saw him, his lips trembled in fear. "L-L-Liu Ba... Ba... is here."

Liu Ba: "Calling me Grandpa won't help you!"
