MOBA: An Esports Dynasty, Starting with a Billion

Chen Yu is reborn into the family of the richest Chinese tycoon. With an IQ of 200, he's the quintessential titanium-alloy rich second-generation heir.

In S7, at the age of 17, Chen Yu is a fan of League of Legends and LGD from his previous life. Instead of taking over the family business empire, he plays the wastrel in everyone's eyes, buys LGD for one billion, and takes on the roles of head coach and player for its League of Legends division.

From then on, Chen Yu becomes a bizarre figure who is simultaneously a club owner, coach, and player.

LGD manager: "Our boss is a total oddball. Every year he makes us look for the lowest-rated players, and every year the fans curse us out. Do you have any idea how hard this is for me?"

Tournament official: "This player is a real oddball. He's making things so difficult for us. He's both a player and a coach, so isn't that basically a coach giving live instructions during the game?"

Other teams: "Is this guy X? He plays a different position in every match. Other people flex their champions, but this guy goes and flexes the player role..."
