Journey to the West: Wukong, Step Aside and Let Your Master Handle This

After transmigrating into the world of Journey to the West as the young Chen Xuanzang, he immediately got a Merit System.

He could use merit points to upgrade his body and scatter gods and Buddhas across the heavens with a single punch.

Could releasing a fish earn him 1 merit point?

Could helping an old lady cross the street earn him 5 merit points?

Chen Xuanzang: "This is too slow. Is there any way to get a large number of merit points?"

System: "Go on the pilgrimage. Completing the pilgrimage quest will earn you ** merit points from the Tathagata."

"But I'm still little, and the pilgrimage hasn't even begun..."

No time to wait. He would push the Journey to the West plot forward immediately, starting by taking down Liu Hong.
