He transmigrates back to the Tang Dynasty and becomes Du Gou, son of the Duke of Lai. He also obtains the Chancellor System and becomes chancellor at a young age.

Wei Zheng: "Du Gou is neither talented nor virtuous. How can he be fit to serve as chancellor?"

But then the common people all write petitions asking the court to reward Du Gou.

The Crown Prince: "Du Gou is corrupt and lawless. How can he be fit to serve as chancellor?"

But then the national treasury fills up, and the salaries of all the civil and military officials go up. Everyone turns on the Crown Prince, asking how he can talk nonsense. If Du Gou is corrupt and lawless, then how did the treasury get so rich?

Li Er sighs: "If he's neither talented nor virtuous, how did he get the common people to willingly write petitions for him? If he's corrupt and lawless, how did he fill the treasury? You two are terrible judges of character. I, on the other hand, am quite the expert. Du Gou, I have several daughters..."
