I, Fahai, Am Perfectly Ordinary

Reborn in the Age of Declining Dharma, demons run rampant.

Buddhist scriptures here are incomplete, and Buddhism is in decline. Fahai transmigrates to this world with countless divine powers.

A reporter comes to interview Fahai. "Master, I hear that Jinshan Temple is home to a Buddhist prodigy named Fahai, who possesses supreme divine powers?"

Fahai: "I'm really just an ordinary monk at Jinshan Temple."

A demon attacks.

Fahai forms a hand seal with his right hand and shouts, "Mighty Heavenly Dragon!"

He slaps the demon dead with one palm.

Fahai turns to the camera and says, "Where was I? Right, I'm just an ordinary person."

Reporter: "Master, I recorded the whole thing. Just wait until this goes public and you become famous!"

From then on, the city has a brash young monk with tattoos and a kasaya, who exorcises demons and unleashes the Mighty Heavenly Dragon at the slightest provocation.
