Your Majesty of Great Qin, You Have to Believe in Science

Qin Shi Huang: “What! The elixirs of immortality I took were full of heavy metals, and they could poison me?”

Hu Yanzu: “Not only can they poison you, they can explode, too.”

Seeing the exploding furnace, Qin Shi Huang was so frightened that he dropped into his throne on the spot.

Qin Shi Huang: “Guards! Bury these alchemists alive! Bury them alive! Leave none alive!”

Hu Yanzu: “You can't blame them. They didn't know these things were poisonous.”

Qin Shi Huang: “Then what do you suggest?”

Hu Yanzu: “Build schools and have every citizen in the land study science.”

Qin Shi Huang: “Li Si, see to it at once!”
