I Became the Support Character in an Anime World

Shen Xu was an ordinary office worker. Outside of work, he liked nothing more than staying home and watching anime, losing himself in its worlds.

He had planned to live a quiet, ordinary life, but fate had other ideas. He was just crossing the street when he instinctively saved an old lady, and it cost him his life. He lamented that his life as a shut-in had ended just like that. Perhaps the underworld's System had malfunctioned: Shen Xu took a number and got ready to queue for the Bridge of Helplessness. Suddenly, a beam of light summoned him away.

"Shen Xu, the Book of Life and Death says your lifespan has not yet run out, but you died in an accident while taking someone else's place. The King of Hell has decided to give you a chance to be reborn. Will you accept?"

Hearing the System's cold voice, Shen Xu looked around at the surrounding darkness and agreed without a second thought.

But when he arrived in that world where he had been reborn, he was anything but calm...

At last, his twenty-three years as a shut-in would come in handy!
