Five thousand years ago, the Heavenly Court and the Underworld went to war, and the Underworld was defeated.
As a result, the Six Paths of Reincarnation collapsed, the Yin Emperor vanished, the Ten Yama Kings were reincarnated, and the Ten Yin Marshals, Ox-Head, and Horse-Face fell in battle. From then on, the Underworld ceased to exist in the Three Realms...
Five thousand years later, the Heavenly Court lies in ruins, the gods have fallen, and the mortal world has changed beyond recognition.
Then, a lucky man named Lu Yuan stumbles through the Gates of Hell, crosses the Yellow Springs Road, and walks over the Bridge of Helplessness, arriving at the nearly abandoned Son of Heaven's Hall deep in the Underworld...
"From today on, I am the ruler of this Netherworld. I will bring the Underworld back to the mortal realm!"
