Seeking Thrills in a World of Terror

I once went fishing in Innsmouth, a town with simple, honest folk. The friendly locals knocked on my door in the middle of the night to ask if I wanted a wife. In the sunken city of R'lyeh, I treated Great Cthulhu to sizzling "squid" made from freshly caught ingredients. I am the undertaker who carries his own BGM as he wanders through ancient tombs, and the compassionate being who played the Great Compassion Mantra for the talkative Great Cthulhu in his dreams.

Faced with such terrifying beings, all I can say is, "I was really scared out of my mind back then!"

The strange entities I exorcised through brute force roared, "Stop lying!! You were slaughtering us with a huge grin on your face! Which one of us is actually terrifying here?!"
