Chronicles of the Empress's Clan: Lady Wu'an

Princess Wei Wu Zi was descended from the Goddess of Mount Wu and a direct descendant of Nuwa. Her mother, seeking to avenge the humiliation of being slighted by King Huai of Chu, went to Qin to help King Huiwen compete for supremacy. Later, in order to raise her son, Prince Ji, to the throne, her mother traveled alone to Yan while heavily pregnant. At last, her hardships came to an end when Prince Ji ascended the throne. Wu Zi was made Princess of Wei, and was pampered in the palace as a child before traveling throughout the land to gain experience as a youth. When her mother passed away, she entrusted the clan of the Goddess of Mount Wu to her. Should she marry far away to Wei or return to her roots? As Princess Wei struggled with this dilemma, Qin and Chu went to war. Her brother died on the battlefield, and her sister-in-law took her own life out of devotion. Amid the struggles on the battlefield and the power plays at court, fate led her to marry the Qin general, Lord Wu'an Bai Qi, bringing her two nieces, Ying Ping and Ying Yan, with her.
