Slay Saints, Punish the Good

In the Spiritual Substance World, spiritual substance is the source of all things and the foundation that allows every rule to function. Only humans understand how it works. Those who control spiritual substance and stand above all things are called Spirit Disciples. Among them, those skilled in combat can train in Armor Techniques to become Spirit Armor Warriors, earning the admiration of the world.

Jing Ming, a boy of unknown origins, is destitute, starving and freezing, with nowhere left to turn. All it takes is a bowl of noodles for him to get a job as a caregiver, looking after Wang Changji, an old man nearing the end of his life and long afflicted with illness.

After the old man dies, Jing Ming is named heir to everything he owned. The first page of his mysterious past is turned, and from that moment on, he sets foot on a road of no return.

In a chaotic age, with wars raging everywhere, Armor Techniques are all the rage. Are they a dirge for those at the end of their road, or a blood-soaked revel where killing is stopped by killing?
