I Lived Through History

Whenever the wild geese fly south, autumn leaves redden and carpet the earth, or winter snow falls softly,

there comes a change of eras, a rise and fall. Every age has its splendor, and its decline.

It has its moments of soaring ambition, and its times of desolation and ruin.

This is history: it can tell the story of an ordinary person's life, and record the rise and fall of dynasties.

Our vast Huaxia has five thousand years of history, sixty dynasties, and four hundred and ninety-four emperors who together composed the grand and turbulent history of our land.
