Surviving in the Tang Dynasty: Choosing My Identity from the Start

Chu Yun transmigrates to a parallel world with highly advanced technology. This world has released a historically themed game called Splendid Tang Dynasty.

For the first closed beta, ten thousand players are invited to try it out, with the entire event livestreamed around the world.

They enter the game.

Some players are randomly assigned to be shop assistants, wiping tables with a rag every day just to scrape by.

Some players are randomly assigned to be courtesans, forced to drink with clients every day and put on a brave face.

Others are randomly assigned to be soldiers in the barracks, drilling day and night with no guarantee they will live to see tomorrow.

Only Chu Yun gains special permission to choose his identity from the start.

"One: scion of a great family."

"Two: commoner."

"Three: prince or noble."

As Chu Yun receives information from the game System and learns that this is the Tang Dynasty during the Zhenguan era, he smiles and says:

"I want to become Princess Changle's consort."

As for the other players...
