Asking the Sword

Many years ago, a great war broke out over the chance to become an immortal in the Celestial Realm. After the sects of Dongzhou were dealt a crushing blow, they founded the Dongzhou Immortal Alliance to keep the region at peace.

For a hundred years, the Alliance cultivated promising talent across the land, seeking to restore the strength of Dongzhou's cultivation world.

Ying Shan, a boy from a small city in Dongzhou, and his friend thus embarked on the path of cultivation.

"Ying Shan, I'm going to become a sword immortal renowned throughout Dongzhou!"

Ying Shan said nothing.

"Ying Shan, after the Immortal Alliance's preliminary trial, which sect do you want to join?"

"Ying Shan, with your temperament, you'd be better off going to the Sword-Seeking Sect! But lately, you should put more effort into your cultivation. The Sword-Seeking Sect is one of the Alliance's major sects, after all," said Ying Shan's cultivation mentor.
