From the Start, a Pair of Flip-Flops and a Scrap Business

Flip-flops and a ripped tank top were Qin Yi's work uniform. "Ding! Collected 10 plastic bottles. Reward: one school-district apartment!"

"Ding! Completed today's junk-collecting task. Reward: one commercial building!"

"Ding! Reward: gene optimization fluid..."

"Ding! Reward..."

Qin Yi was starting to get annoyed at having too many properties. He went out to collect rent in his flip-flops and ripped tank top, and people kept saying he was showing off. What was he supposed to do?

Ever since Qin Yi started collecting rent in his flip-flops and ripped tank top, the wealthy of Guanghai City had all changed the way they dressed. They no longer wore suits and ties. Anyone who didn't wear flip-flops and a tank top around their social circle was looked down on.

"Those flip-flops of yours are nice. Where'd you get them?"

"With the rent I collected after buying my eleventh building, from a street stall."

"Your tank top's nice too. Where'd you get it?"

"Funny enough, about the same as you, but I got mine with the rent from my twenty-third building..."
