Dreams of a Lost World

This is a book I spent more than five years developing.

Before that, it existed only in my mind: boundless wish-fulfillment fantasies in my imagination. Of course, during those five years, I kept trying to put it down on paper. Then, one day in 2019, I finally told myself, “Why not write it down and let everyone read it?”

So, from the countless abandoned drafts I'd written before, I picked one that was just barely readable to serve as the beginning of this story.

I used to think my writing wasn't good enough and I hadn't experienced enough. Even after drafting several chapters a few times, when I reread them, I'd feel they were unreadable and abandon them on my USB drive.

Even now, after writing a lot of material in advance, I still feel my writing isn't good enough.

But I kept going, because this time I wasn't writing another discarded draft. This is a story for everyone to read, and a way for me to take responsibility for the characters I created.
