Saving the Apocalypse While AFK

Hello, everyone! I'm the System Girl. The System's main function is to run on autopilot, and its goal is to save humanity's future. The apocalypse is coming. No need to panic, first we play it safe and pick an awesome Host. Oh no, the Host died.

Don't panic. Ten years before the apocalypse, pick the person with the best character and send him back to start over.

Rebirth complete. Look at that, the Host I picked is amazing: calm and composed, practically the perfect leading man for an apocalypse rebirth novel! It's time for this System to make its entrance!

Wait, hang on. My new Host just went into the kitchen and grabbed a fruit knife. Is he going to eat an apple to calm down... Hey, hey, hey! Why is the Host stabbing himself?!
