I! Uchiha Itachi! Won't Wipe Out the Clan!

The Leaf Village was engulfed in turmoil.

Atop the Hokage Rock.

The Third Hokage shouted angrily, "Uchiha Itachi, so you've decided to break our agreement?"

Itachi sneered. "Agreement? The agreement was to wipe out the entire Uchiha clan!"

The Third Hokage said, "For the Will of Fire, for the village, for peace, sacrifices must be made when necessary."

Itachi replied with a twisted grin, "In that case, you and the Hokage faction behind you can make that sacrifice. After all, with great power comes great responsibility, doesn't it?"

"I, Uchiha Itachi, clan head of the Uchiha, hereby call upon the Third Hokage, Lord Hiruzen Sarutobi, to die!"

The next moment,

a blood-red skeletal giant rose into the sky, blotting out the heavens and the sun.
