Nine Miles to Forget White Hair

When they were little

What Bai Chang said most often was, "Junzi, don't bully Jiuli."

Junzi clutched Jiuli's braid, tears and snot streaming down his face as he wailed, "But Junior Sister is the one bullying me!"

Jiuli cried, "Master, Senior Brother is bullying me!"

Bai Chang looked at Junzi, whose face was bruised and swollen, then at Jiuli, whose braid had come undone. With a helpless sigh, he picked up the tearful Jiuli. "A gentleman should have a kind heart."

Junzi: "Waaah, I don't want to be called that!"

When they were a little older

Bai Chang: "Junzi, what is your junior sister doing?"

Junzi chuckled to himself. "Master, Junior Sister recently poisoned herself until she was paralyzed."

Bai Chang frowned and looked at Junzi. "...Why is your forehead darkened?"

Holding the newly concocted Seven-Step Powder, Jiuli wheedled, "Senior Brother, I still haven't found anyone to test it on."

Junzi: "..."

Jiuli: "A gentleman should strive to better himself!"
