The protagonist is a Taotie, the youngest of the Four Fierce Beasts. He says he's under a lot of pressure, since the myriad demons have chosen him as their new Demon Emperor!
What? He has to revitalize the demon clan? Well... he'll do his best.
What? He has to rebuild the ancient Heavenly Court? Um... he'll go talk it over with the Jade Emperor first and ask if he's willing to step down.
What, what? He also has to avenge old grievances and wipe away the humiliation of the Investiture of the Gods War? This... that... Taotie timidly says, "Brothers, let's stay calm. We live in a harmonious society now. Fighting and killing isn't good!"
The eldest, Hundun: "Keep it up, little brother! Big Brother's got your back. Don't let the Four Fierce Beasts' reputation suffer. I'll go into seclusion and cultivate for now, so I'll be ready to fight those saints when the time comes!"
