The Cautious Chief Disciple of the Chan Sect

The leader of the Chan Sect, Yuanshi Tianzun, takes on a troublesome eldest disciple.

He's called an unrivaled genius, yet he is so obsessed with staying alive that he can't stop himself.

He's said to lack talent, yet he always manages to play the pig to eat the tiger, killing every opponent who crosses him.

No one knows his true strength, because he has never once shown it.

And yet this man, even Yuanshi Tianzun cannot figure out, possesses overwhelming power but is excessively cautious.

Yuanshi Tianzun: "You little rascal, you actually poisoned me!"

Chen Yuan: "Master, that was the protective formation meant to keep our Yuxu Palace safe. It was an accident, an accident."

Yuanshi Tianzun: "Where's my Nine-Dragon Agarwood Chariot?"

Chen Yuan: "Master, I took apart that flashy but useless thing and made myself a set of armor. With it, even a Great Golden Immortal can't kill me!"

Yuanshi Tianzun: "You wretch! You're so afraid of dying, who could possibly kill you!"
