Making Hong Kong Movies in the World of Hong Kong Films

“Sing Sing, want a promotion and a raise and to become the pride of the police force? Make a movie with me, and you'll be the next big star! Here's the script: Fight Back to School, adapted from your real life!”

“Ho Nam, quit running with the gangsters. There's no future in it, and you'll only set a bad example for the kids. Turn over a new leaf, and I'll make you a star.”

“Chan Ka Kui, do you want to become the face of the police force, just like Sing Sing?”

“Who says the God of Gamblers only appears in profile shots? I can get him to star in my movie!”

Having made his way into the world of Hong Kong movies, Chen Xuan begins his career as a smooth-talking con man.

He reaps the rewards, too: immense wealth, supreme status, extraordinary powers, and beautiful women at his side.
