I Thought I Was Eternal

He thought that once he became eternal, he could live freely and without restraint! But is it really a good thing to be alone like that?

There would be no one to accompany him as he traversed the vast sea of stars, conquered the mysteries of the primordial universe, and explored the highest truths and philosophies.

The starry sky is beautiful, but surely it would be better to have someone to admire it with?

The Great Vehicle, immortals, sages, gods, and the highest realms might be beyond the reach of others for thousands or even tens of thousands of years, perhaps even for all eternity. But he had them within his grasp as the years passed, and could even reach higher.

Forced to exist through eternal ages, he left traces of himself at countless points in time.

He did not want to share all this alone. So... perhaps it was best to return to simplicity.
