The Good-for-Nothing Who Wants No Trouble

This is so irritating. You have to compete at everything. Writing a novel means competing over follower counts, getting a girlfriend means competing over figure and looks, when you're little you compete over grades, when you grow up you compete over salaries, and now people even compete over how many steps they take.

Give me a break. I just want to be a nobody who doesn't fight for anything. What's wrong with that?

Yet people still ask how I can earn a million a year and drive a luxury car when all I do is take a walk every day!

I hope you all believe in love. When my girlfriend turned sixty, I didn't complain about how ugly the iPhone X she gave me was, how awful the color of the Ferrari she bought me looked, or how badly located and noisy the city-center house she got me was. I accepted it all without a word. When you love someone, you have to accept everything about her. You love how focused she is when driving a sports car, how thoughtful she is whenever she ties your tie, and even how adorable it is when she accidentally adds a few extra zeros to a transfer. I think life needs this kind of ordinary love.
