The Gloom of Another World

On an alien planet parallel to Earth, it is the year 2198 of the Haze Era, the pinnacle of modern human technology. People believe they can change nature, or rather, control it. But as technology rises and advances, the environment grows ever more polluted. A sudden military leak causes the EWco agent, which researchers had been preparing to improve and manufacture for the good of humanity, to mutate. Scattered into the air, the agent gradually consumes PM2.5 and gives rise to a new virus, X. The appearance of this virus plunges humanity into true despair. The chromosomes of any organism infected by the virus are affected, causing mutations. As the haze around them grows, these creatures grow stronger.
