I Am a Buddhist Amulet Fortune-Teller

My name is Zhou Yi. My family has practiced the strange and mysterious art of Buddhist amulet fortune-telling for generations.

If you ask me what a Buddhist amulet is,

I'll tell you it's actually a kind of talisman.

There are two types: positive amulets and negative amulets.

Positive amulets feature images of heavenly deities as their totems, with blessing scriptures as an aid. They can ward off evil, avert disaster, change your fortune, and help you enjoy lasting good luck, happiness, and health.

Negative amulets use ghosts and evil spirits as their totems and follow the sinister paths of the Three Evil Realms. They can help you exploit shady opportunities and make a fortune, but whether you can keep them under control is entirely up to you.

Inheriting this art has earned me quite a reputation.

Some say I'm a living Buddha who helps the world, while others say I'm a sinister Taoist who'll do anything for money.

But I know the truth: I'm simply a Buddhist amulet fortune-teller who has seen the fickleness of the world and witnessed every facet of human nature.
