Moonright Hour

In the blink of an eye, the caterpillar in the tree transformed into a beautiful butterfly and flew toward the sky of its dreams. But was the sky really as beautiful as it imagined? The butterfly chose to adorn the sky with its beauty, but the sky was still the sky: it had more than endless sunny days, with storms and gloom as well. The butterfly hoped the sky would stay clear and sunny forever.

The sky gazed down with its deep eyes, quietly watching the butterfly and all the world, with its goodness and beauty, greed, anger, delusion, and desire. The butterfly fluttered back and forth, but the sky stood unmoving, neither happy nor sad, silently providing the butterfly with what it needed to live.
