The Master Begs for Mercy

A hilarious, satisfying read for 2018. I don't want to become a monk, but I'm an orphan who grew up in a ruined temple.

Now that I've turned eighteen, I was planning to leave the temple and chase girls. But as I said goodbye to my master at his grave, I suddenly got the Vitality System! What is wrong with this lousy System? It gives me the Sunflower Manual from the start, then expects me to keep guarding this dilapidated temple that's about to be demolished. What does that even mean?

I never wanted to be both funny and ruthless, but it turns out I have a split personality!

I can calmly eat vegetarian food and devote myself to prayer, or slaughter ten thousand people without a moment's regret!

I could have lived an ordinary life, but I was destined to be swept into the vortex set in motion by this System.

Faced with this helpless situation, all I can say is... Hey, this is actually pretty great!
