A meteor shower unseen in a thousand years struck the United States, reducing Silicon Valley to ruins.
Afterward, data lifeforms of all shapes and forms appeared around the world.
Most of these data lifeforms took the form of creatures from popular franchises such as Digimon, Pokemon, and Onmyoji.
They lurked in every corner of our lives, appearing in quantum form, their bodies suspended between existence and nonexistence.
Ordinary people could hardly perceive these data lifeforms. But some people could see them, and even capture them.
They were known as Pokémon Hunters!
