Tales of the Demon Monkey

Clad in golden armor, I laugh at the sky. Born proud, I'll claim whatever I desire, and dare to take both heaven and earth.

I'll stir up the celestial palace alone, laugh at the world alone. Ten thousand miles of Buddha's light shine behind me. Who dares call me a demon?

If the sky stands high, I'll rise to meet it. Even if the whole world stands against me, I'll cast off this mortal shell, cover the heavens with one hand, and shift the stars.

I curse heaven, earth, and reincarnation. Who are those immortals above? If I die, the world dies with me. Let them all be buried around me.

Tathagata, I still refuse to yield. You say all demons in the world must be eliminated, but who in today's mortal world doesn't covet the world?

This life is like fireworks fading away. What was my mistake in this life? If I could live it over again, I'd still look down on all the gods and Buddhas in heaven...
