The high school class of 2012 organized its first Dutch-treat reunion since graduating from college and starting work. Only seventeen classmates were notified, so the group rented a minibus for their number and planned to drive to Yingge Lake, where they would eat and have fun at a country restaurant.
After three hours on the road, they were nearly at Yingge Lake when disaster struck!
First, the dashboard indicators went haywire, the steering wheel stopped responding, and the brakes failed. Then everyone in the bus saw a dazzling white light and felt dizzy and weightless. After that came total darkness: they could neither see nor hear. It was terrifying! Everyone thought, "We're doomed! This is the end!"
