Chronicles of the Superpowered

In 2114, beneath the Alps in northern Europe, the Twelve Apostles, the number one organization in the superpower world, fought a seemingly quiet battle that sent shock waves around the world. Their opponents were Purgatory, ranked second in the world; Gabriel, ranked third; and Blood Red, ranked fifth. In the end, the Twelve Apostles announced their disbandment, and most of their members went missing. Purgatory and Gabriel were erased from the superpower world. Only the boss of Blood Red managed to survive thanks to his SSS-rank blood-based superpower, preserving a few remnants of the organization. From then on, the dominance of independent organizations in the superpower world gradually gave way to the steady ascendancy of national organizations. As a result, the accidental death rate in 2116 reached a new low, lower than it had been since the Great Nuclear Catastrophe.
