Love, the Dream of the Torn Red Scarf

Synopsis:

I can't bear to leave behind your bright red scarf, so soft and gentle, that red scarf. Why are you crying? Your tears slide down my sorrowful face like two cool streams, soaking my burning cheeks. Is it the wind and sand blowing, or is it my longing for you? The wind cannot dry the tears at the corners of my eyes, yet it cracks the heart that longs for you!

I can't bear to let go of your bright red scarf, that burning red scarf. How much longing do you hold? You keep me company through stormy nights as I think of you! Flames burn atop those two streams, blazing fiercely with longing until the heart that misses you grows numb!

Hao Hong often picked up that red scarf, struggling with the pain of longing. Even as she neared the end of her life, she never forgot the sincere love she had shared with Brother Shitou! She didn't know whether she would ever find the love she had lost!
