At some point, a small group of imps appeared inside the enormous frozen stone gate. They wore grass skirts and danced merrily, while an old imp beat a drum made from dragon hide. The cheerful melody, lively dance steps, and gleeful little faces filled the place with joy.
Aosen watched them in disbelief. One old, decrepit imp, wearing a skull on his head, holding a thighbone in his hand, and wearing a string of teeth around his neck, carved a strange rune onto Aosen's forehead. Amid the cheers of the other imps, Aosen became their new king.
