Granzort: The Magic System

Also known as The Strongest Madou King: Energy Bender

In 3050 AD, genius scientist Ye Yuehan accepted an invitation from the National Academy of Sciences and joined an experiment involving a "time-space transporter." Sent a thousand years into the past, to the world of 2100 AD, to investigate the moon, Ye Yuehan was caught in a catastrophic explosion when the transporter suddenly blew up. All the scientists involved were reduced to dust. By a twist of fate, Ye Yuehan ended up in the world of 2100, his body destroyed and his spirit possessing Yao Dadi. He also gained a Magic Energy System, and his adventure began!

P.S. One of the anime I loved for its nostalgia as a kid. If it's not your thing, please don't flame me! If you like it, add it to your collection!
