The Luoyang Academy is a household name in Luoyang. "A woman without talent is virtuous" could well be its motto. Any woman who enrolls becomes devoid of talent and artistic skill, while men are "just the opposite": as long as they attend this academy, they become talented scholars, proficient in music, chess, calligraphy, and painting. Just what is going on? Read this book to find out.
