An accidental encounter brought him to the real world of Digimon three years after the end of the original adventure, where he was recognized by Takeshi Takaishi and blended with his soul to become a brand new Takeshi Takaishi. He believed that this time he would truly be worthy of the title of "Lord of the Emblem of Hope" and change the fate of that digital world, thereby changing his own fate.
