The Tale of Yast

Aster is the eldest son of Earl Ireland de Farah. He also has a younger sister. After their mother died, his father married a new wife, who treated Aster and his sister terribly. Later, his stepmother gave birth to two boys and a girl. One day, a messenger from the Clemens household brought a letter, saying that they were fulfilling the verbal promise made years ago to Earl Cress Mond and would now send their young lady to become engaged to Aster. It was supposed to be an ordinary political marriage, but Aster clearly had no interest in becoming a pawn in one. Besides, he still had several younger brothers, didn't he? So Aster ran away without hesitation!
