My old man is seriously badass. Whenever he shows up, he usually wears a mask!

After all that, you must have guessed who my old man is, right? That's right, he's... some random ANBU from Konoha...

This random ANBU once joined his comrades in hunting Orochimaru as he fled in disgrace after the Third Hokage sealed away both his arms. He ended up getting taken out in one shot by one of Kidomaru's spiderwebs. When Pain destroyed Konoha, he and his comrades fought Pain's... summoned beasts. Anyway... he survived. As for the mask, well, as a high-ranking background ANBU, wearing one adds an air of mystery and saves Kishimoto the trouble of coming up with an ordinary face. It's a win-win...
