The Girls We Chased Back Then

Friendship and love, our confusion about reality as students, our passion for life, and our struggles: all for a dream, a dream we can see but never touch. Human desire and greed! Dreams are beautiful and innocent, but reality is cruel and heartbreaking. Love, whether seen or unseen, aches faintly, bearing witness to the vigor of youth. We were so poor that all we had was time to fret over the trivial gains and losses of college, all the while overlooking the question: What is love? Can love be judged as worth it or not? Wounded and battered by reality, we conjure an illusory pillar of support to fill the emptiness within. Time flows by like water. We measure the distance to our ideals through hard work, mourning the passage of time and paying tribute to our dreams.
