Eyes That Lie

Deep in their hearts, people hide sorrows no one else knows about. Some words, once spoken, are regretted. Some wounds, once they hurt enough, leave you numb. Some hearts, once they tremble, break. Some friendships, once they grow too close, fade away.

Everyone changes. You can keep an unchanging promise, but you can't hold on to a fickle heart. Sometimes, persistence is a burden, and letting go is a release. No one is a hundred percent perfect, and happiness is never perfect either. Know that you cannot have everything at once, and have no right to ask for too much, or you'll only make things hard for yourself and the other person. Tears are the beginning of a flood. A promise is a blank sheet of paper, and even the thickest script reaches its ending. I think I know the taste of tears. Even if I gave every minute and every second, I never once thought of running away. In this world, there is no lasting happiness, only fleeting comfort and peace. If you treat my feelings like a game, then I'm sorry, I won't play...
