The term Daoist arts originates in the "Under Heaven" chapter of Zhuangzi. It means the same thing as "esoteric arts" and "technical arts." Daoists also call them "immortal arts."
Daoist arts cover many practices, including divination, talismans, prayers for blessings and protection, incantations, internal alchemy, external alchemy, furnace arts for transmuting metals, fasting, physical cultivation, bedroom arts, elixirs, and breathing techniques.
