Republican Era: I Help My Dad Become a Marshal, Hoping He'll Make It Big

Li Jianye opens his eyes and finds himself transmigrated into the body of a warlord's young marshal in 1929.

From today on, he can go without beef too!

His stingy old man is being shaken down by the garrison commander in Luoyang: pay 30,000 silver dollars and 500 shi of grain, or he'll send in the troops?

Li Jianye: Send in the troops? I'll make sure you never come back!

He takes 100,000 silver dollars to Shanghai to buy weapons, only for the foreign trading house's comprador to quote double the price and rip him off?

Li Jianye: Go around the comprador and find the White Russians! I'll take the whole lot, men and guns, plus 500 veteran White Russian soldiers and over a thousand craftsmen and their families. What a steal!

The weapons can't be shipped out of Shanghai?

Everyone disguises themselves as German Army Ordnance Department personnel! The patrolmen bow and scrape, the military police don't dare open the crates, and the shipment makes it all the way back to Luoyang without a hitch!

The guns of September 18 ring out. The Northeast Army flees without a fight, and the whole country is overcome with grief and anger.

Li Jianye: If you won't fight, then I will!

Blow up the arsenal, seize 262 planes, empty the Northeast of its wealth, and send the Central Plains Fleet on the offensive. One shot in Bohai Bay hits home, and the Japanese warships explode in a chain reaction!
