One Piece Missing from the Heavenly Chart

Starlight Island was once the seat of a great lineage ten thousand years ago. Now, all that remains are 103 people, a bell, and an old man who keeps it. The islanders cultivate by drawing on starlight. Those who cannot are called useless, and he is one of them. But he doesn't know that the island's starlight is borrowed from beneath the earth. What is borrowed must be repaid. So when the bell tolls for the third time at night, someone begins drawing a circle. After nine months of drawing, that person will walk up the bell tower on their own and never come back down. No one on the island dares speak of it, or ask about it. He is assigned to deliver food to someone who never eats. He also doesn't know that his name has long been entered in that ledger. Nor does he know that the Four Mountains and Five Isles have been searching for it for thirteen thousand years. An ordinary man who knows nothing but cake recipes sets out from a ruined island on the verge of being abandoned. He travels across the Canglan Sea, through the fires of Yunji and the remnants of the Falling Moon Scroll, until he stands before all those who want to seal that opening. The missing star in the Celestial Chart is one he will fill himself.
