Your Pulse

If the world is destined to end, would you be willing to become my final heartbeat?

Lin Wan'er once thought that living meant nothing but enduring pain. Until that man used his life to show her that pain was proof of being alive, and love was an instinct that transcended life and death.

He turned to ashes in the red mist, yet was reborn in her very bones and blood.

Three years later, the sunlight is still warm, but the man who shielded her from all darkness can no longer see it.

This is a story about loss, and also about how to keep living well in a broken world, for someone else's sake.

"I'm not afraid to die. I'm only afraid I'll forget the sound of your heartbeat."
